Eli Green
Completing his major in Advertising his junior year, Eli decided to take an intro to theatre class which led him to write his first short play. His professor encouraged him to send it off, to a person he had never heard of before, Edward Albee. Months went by and Eli continued to finish school until one day he received a letter in the mail from The Edward Albee Foundation inviting him to join an art commune named “The Barn.” There he wrote an additional play; which was put into production as part of Albee’s class taught in Houston, Texas. Albee influenced Eli’s absurdist style heavily.
A year later Eli started a boutique company that produced guerilla-marketing campaigns. In 2005, life took a turn; taking a surfing trip to Central Florida he was hit head on by drunk driver leaving Eli hospitalized and penniless. He decided to take this as an opportunity to start over and travel the world making documentary and narrative films. He went on to co-write, ghost write, and doctor scripts for friends, leading him to LA where he is learning to direct while working on movie sets.
